Textbooks

The College conducts a Textbook Hire Scheme for students in Years 5 to 12. Textbook Hire levies are built into the College’s fee structure which will appear on your annual invoice in December/January.

Textbooks will be collected by the students during Term 1.

International students who are not eligible for the Queensland Textbook and Resource Allowance are required to pay an additional amount into the scheme. 

No individual textbook packs will be issued. In most instances, students will have access to class sets of textbooks. If students would like a textbook for use at home, they are able to go to Book Hire and borrow one. As the College is moving to digital textbooks, at a minimum, students will have access to a PDF version of their text. Novels and/or play texts will be issued at the beginning of each term in class groups. 

Students need their ID cards when borrowing books from Book Hire. Students are required to return these books to Book Hire when they have finished with them. Failure to do so will result in emails to parents and then charges for replacements applied to fee statements. 

At the year's conclusion, around November each year, ALL students are emailed to let them know what needs to be returned by the last day of Term 4.
